Report: Hungary freezes 870 mln euros of Russian assets
BUDAPEST, Dec 16 (PRIME) -- The amount of frozen Russian assets in Hungary reached 870 million euros in November, the Nepszava newspaper reported on Friday citing a report by the European Commission.
“By November 25, Hungary had frozen 870 million euros worth of Russian assets, according to a recent consolidated report by the European Commission to which our newspaper had access,” the newspaper reported.
Before the November report, Hungary informed Brussels about the seizure of Russian assets for only 3,000 euros, the newspaper added.
According to the latest report of the European Commission, Italy froze Russian and Belarusian assets worth 2.3 billion euros, Germany 2.2 billion euros, Austria almost ˆ1.8 billion euros, Bulgaria 11.3 million euros, the Czech Republic 10.8 million euros and Slovakia 4.9 million euros.
